Sourcing Decisions

Frequently asked questions about pet food OEM projects.

These answers support preliminary assessment. Final product specifications, production base, document scope, MOQ, price and timing are governed by the written project documents.

Can Aumeats develop a product from a sample alone?

Yes, where the sample is owned by the customer or the customer is authorised to use it. Aumeats can assess the formula direction, process, texture, packaging and scalable manufacturing route. For a market benchmark, the permitted use and intellectual-property boundary are confirmed before development begins.

How does Aumeats assess project cost?

Costing considers raw materials, process, yield loss, packaging, case utilisation, testing, export documents and logistics conditions. The final quotation is based on the approved specification, volume, production base and commercial terms.

What are the MOQ and lead time?

MOQ and lead time vary by product, packaging, production base, destination requirements and current production plan. Aumeats provides the applicable range and indicative timing after receiving a complete project brief.

How is suitability for the United States, European Union or United Kingdom confirmed?

Aumeats reviews the specific formula, process, proposed legal manufacturing entity, importer requirements and current rules, then coordinates the label, certificate, testing and export-document workstream. Suitability is verified for each project rather than inferred from a general certificate.

How are NDAs, formula ownership and intellectual property handled?

Customer-owned samples, formulas, artwork and commercial information can be handled under an NDA. Ownership of newly developed formulas, label files, packaging artwork and other outputs is defined in the applicable written agreement.

Can Aumeats support packaging design?

Yes. Support can cover pouches, cans, cups, cartons, gift boxes, multilingual labels, SKU architecture and channel-specific packaging recommendations, subject to the agreed project and approval responsibilities.
